Each club is unique and handcrafted from a single piece of wood. The preferred woods include pau, ironwood, ifilele and saitamu. The clubs were originally cut out with stone adzes, but as the Western influences grew, steel implements were introduced and resulted in quicker work and more intricate designs.

Some of the motifs that you'll see carved into the clubs includes the pandanus fruit (aufala), the coconut leaf stalk and midrib (lapalapa), the banana leaf (laufa'i), the paddle (foe), and the lobe of the ear (lautalinga). 

Clubs are handmade reproductions based on ancient designs. Sennit rope is attached to the end of the handle on the lug. Clubs are approximately 18" in length.
