The Keysight N932xC Basic Spectrum Analyzer (BSA) is a family of four benchtop spectrum analyzers — the N9321C, N9322C, N9323C, and N9324C — built to outperform expectations in essential RF applications. Each model operates with spectrum analyzer as the default measurement mode and adds further modes including tracking generator, reflection measurement, modulation analysis, and power meter mode, all presented on a 6.5-inch TFT color display with a multiple-language user interface and an RF input terminated at 50 Ω.
Across the series the analyzers are directed at RF design and troubleshooting. Demodulation modes provide insight into AM/FM and ASK/FSK signal analysis, while the tracking generator with built-in VSWR bridge supports transmission and reflection measurements on the N9321C and N9322C. A built-in DC input channel on those two models enables AM/FM in-band, on-channel measurement and xDSL measurement from 9 kHz to 10 MHz. Support for Keysight U2000 Series and U2020 X-Series USB power sensors extends the instruments to precision power measurement.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own test-and-measurement inventory in a 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois. Holding inventory directly lets our team match the right instrument and condition to each application.
Keysight Technologies traces its measurement heritage through Hewlett-Packard, whose test-and-measurement business was spun out as Agilent Technologies in 1999. That measurement business was then established as Keysight Technologies in 2014, the brand under which this instrument family is produced today.
The N932xC Basic Spectrum Analyzer family comprises four models that share a common platform — a 6.5-inch color display, multiple measurement modes, a one-button power suite, and user-definable softkeys — while differing in frequency reach and RF performance. The N9321C and N9322C cover from 9 kHz, and the N9323C and N9324C cover the microwave range from 1 MHz, with top-end coverage stepping from 4 GHz to 20 GHz across the series.
Beyond frequency span, the models differ in displayed average noise level, third-order intercept, phase noise, input-attenuator step size, and the matched preamplifier and tracking-generator options available to each. The comparison table below lays out these specifications side by side so the correct model can be selected for the intended frequency and performance requirement.
Each new model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the model that fits your frequency and performance requirement to see its specifications and current availability.
Frequency coverage is the primary differentiator: the N9321C reaches 4 GHz, the N9322C 7 GHz, the N9323C 13.6 GHz, and the N9324C 20 GHz. Typical displayed average noise level at 1 GHz is –162 dBm/Hz on the N9321C and N9322C and –154 dBm/Hz on the N9323C and N9324C, while third-order intercept is +11 dBm on the N9321C and N9322C and +9 dBm on the N9323C and N9324C. Phase noise at 100 kHz offset is –98 dBc/Hz on the two lower-frequency models and –97 dBc/Hz on the two microwave models.
The input attenuator adjusts in 1 dB steps on the N9321C and N9322C and in 5 dB steps on the N9323C and N9324C. VSWR bridge, reflection measurement, and the built-in DC input channel are available on the N9321C and N9322C only, and each model takes its own matched preamplifier option (P04, P07, P13, or P20) and tracking-generator option (TG4 or TG7). The shared specifications — ±0.3 dB absolute amplitude accuracy and 10 Hz to 3 MHz resolution bandwidth — apply to every model. Refer to the comparison table for the per-model values.
| Model | Frequency Range | DANL (1 GHz, typ.) | Third-Order Intercept (TOI) |
|---|---|---|---|
| N9324C | 1 MHz – 20 GHz | -154 dBm/Hz | +9 dBm |
| N9321C | 9 kHz – 4 GHz | -162 dBm/Hz | +11 dBm |
| N9322C | 9 kHz – 7 GHz | -162 dBm/Hz | +11 dBm |
| N9323C | 1 MHz – 13.6 GHz | -154 dBm/Hz | +9 dBm |
Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
