These knives are made from high carbon file steel and are easier to sharpen and hold a better edge than stainless blades.  These are also heat treated to add strength and will darken with age, only affecting and adding to the character of the appearance.  To maintain the high carbon steel blade and to keep your knife in the best condition, apply a little oil to it once in awhile (gun oil is the best but vegetable or canola oil will work just fine).  Lifetime warranty for defects in material or workmanship.  These are all hand-made and no two are exactly alike.
